ABOUT CRISIS 101
In modern times we use the term “crisis” to define very difficult, life-changing events in our lives and the lives of others. David refers to them as “life storms.”
It is safe to assume that at any given time, you’re either going into a crisis, coming out of one, or in the midst of one (or some) right now. There is never a perfect time for a crisis, but whether we like it or not, it’s a reality that we will all experience one or more in our lifetime.
So, what do we do? How do we handle those “life-changing” times? And, just as important, how do we (or can we), help others in crisis?
It might seem strange to hear me say that I’ve been blessed with numerous storms throughout my life. I’m not saying I’m looking forward to anymore, but since I’ve been forced to face so many, I feel obligated to share the secrets and lessons I’ve learned in surviving life storms.
During this weekly series we will explore 10 basic strategies to navigate those troubled and stormy times in our lives and come to understand how times of crisis can actually be faith building.
Life does not always make sense. We will approach it from a different perspective. This course will give insight and encouragement to anyone facing trials – divorce, disease, death, loss of job, a wayward child just to name a few.
We can actually be victorious and learn to recognize God’s deliverance and praise Him for His faithfulness!
If you’re interested in learning how to follow in the footsteps of Jesus as He continually stepped into crisis with words of hope, peace, joy and love and learn how you can do the same, I invite you to “watch the seas part” as you begin this adventure.
